Renaissance lute in F/F# (63cm)
Some photos of one of our renaissance lutes, recently completed.
This particular instrument is a 7 course lute in F/F# (63cm, A=440) in cherry with ebony detailing, with laburnum pegs. The outline of the body is after Venere (1592).
The soundboard on this lute was made from a particularly attractive piece of spruce with hasenfitche/bear claw figuring.
